Lamb Loin (Kidney) Chops - these are the lamb's answer to Porterhouse steaks. They're the most tender chops on the lamb and they're usually grilled or broiled.  They cook best if they're thick.

Leg of Lamb - bone-in or  boneless, the leg of lamb is one of the most popular cuts. It's usually roasted but it can be boned and butterflied for grilling.

Rack of Lamb - this elegant roast includes eight ribs and it's big enough to serve three or more. If the meat at the tips is cut away to expose the bones, it's called "frenching".

Lamb Shanks - are fairly lean and if they're braised slowly, the meat pulls apart into delicious, juicy strands. You can also cube the meat for stews or grind it.

Shoulder Chops - these chops are very flavorful. They're usually braised, broiled or grilled.

Joe's can also provide you with other lamb cuts suitable for any recipe or any kind of occasion, such as ground lamb, kidneys, stew meat, etc. Just ask at the counter!

VEAL

Veal Cutlets (Scallopini) - are very lean portions cut thin the way you like it.  Usually breaded and sautéed quickly so they don't dry out.

Veal Shank - the classic cut for  "Osso Buco" but because it's rich in gelatinous substances, it's also excellent for sauces and stews.

Loin Chops - are cut from the veal loin roast and are usually braised of pan-fried.

Rib Rack or Rib Chops - a veal roast is often cut into rib chops but you may like it roasted intact or have Joe's tie two or three roasts together to form a crown roast of veal.

Breast of Veal - you can get this either with or without bones. A common way to serve this is to cut open a pocket between the ribs and the meat and stuff it before roasting.

TURKEY

We sell all-natural (no hormones) fresh young  Plainville Farms turkeys in a range of sizes from 10 to 34 lbs.  We will also sell you bone-in turkey breasts (4-7 lb. average), fresh ground all-white meat, necks or drumsticks. All will make a delicious addition to your dinner table - year round!
In Joe's deli, we serve up fresh sliced all-white Plainville turkey breast.  There is no finer turkey sold anywhere!
